Organized among various churches in Woodbury, New Jersey, the Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries, Inc. (GWCM ) was founded by clergy and lay leaders to cooperate in local social ministries beyond the resources of any one of our faith communities. We are an all-volunteer, IRS 501(c)(3) recognized not-for-profit charity, serving the City of Woodbury, NJ and the immediate surrounding communities.

GWCM's food pantries are intended as emergency relief services, providing, in addition to food, guidance to clients in accessing the support of government and community assistance.

In addition to the food pantries, the GWCM is involved in other community projects including ecumenical worship services throughout the year, Vacation Bible School, a high school peace essay scholarship,clothing closet, children's summer lunch box program and our handy helpers to assist seniors and disabled with household chores.

The GWCM does not maintain an office and does not have a telephone. Our all-volunteer staff and the utilization of space and facilities within our faith communities allow us to spend more than $.99 of every dollar donated for the direct purchase of food.
